In 2018, I realized that a closet packed with clothes is NOT the perfect closet. It’s not #closetgoals. It’s actually a huge problem. Every day I would sift through expensive flashy embellished garments that I only wore once, step over mounds of clothing that didn’t fit exactly right, and I always felt like I have nothing to wear. I was also constantly buying something new. This was a HUGE problem and I know I am not alone. The worst part of all though was the never ending laundry. Clothes plus more clothes equals wayyy more laundry. I’ve worked in the fashion industry for 20 years. I was a fashion designer assistant, a fashion buyer, and even owned my own boutique for 9 years. I know how to create the perfect closet, but it has taken me a while to be okay with letting go of all the garments I’ve collected. I decided 2019, is the year to curate the perfect closet and let go of all the chaos. I am preparing to get rid of EVERYTHING except a handful of my favorite designer handbags. Yes, EVERYTHING else!!
